So today I was with Scarlet and Sophia, and Sophie was like, “Cacky, sometimes Ander likes to fight with us, but we don’t know what that means.” (Ander is one of their little four year old friends.)
I was like, “You don’t know what it means to fight?”
And Scarlet was like, “Yeah, we don’t know what that means to fight.”
And I was like, “But guys, what if someone tries to fight with you?! What would you do?”
And then Sophia reconsidered and was like, “Weeeell… sometimes we do fight with Ander, and we push him and he falls down and we laugh.”
And I just… sat there laughing for the longest time, beaming with pride at my little nieces who “don’t know what it means to fight”.
